(Leonie) At Brussels we had to wait for 1,5 hours before the Eurostar would leave for London. We grabbed ourselves a lovely coffee and chai latte at #Pret,… and since we were making a sustainable trip, I figured to bring our own Dopper thermos and Rcup to the counter… at #Pret it was common to bring your own reusable. In fact, they even rewarded bringing your own with 50 cents each,… so we were even able to earn money being sustainable 🤑
After enjoying our coffee and tea and a perfect croissant, we left for our departure to London. Interestingly enough, we went through the same stages as on the airport… passport-control, scanning our luggage and through the body-scan… did it take long?.. nope, within a few minutes we were ready to board and after a long walk on the deck, similar to walking on the flight-boulevard at Schiphol, we found our coach and seated ourselves in the Eurostar.
Again a comfortable way of transport, this time without the friendly wagoner pointing our way to our coach but all easy to find.
When on board, again we found our reserved seats easily, bags either stowed above us or in the baggage racks,… however a lot less spacious, smaller seats, less leg space, a hided plug to charge your devices and PAID WIFI…😮 too bad, … still no answer to THE question… are we more sustainable or not… hopefully this is not predicting our further travels,… due to no WIFI...
